If you hire a DJ who does not carry Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and hold current Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certificates for each item of electrical equipment they intend to use then many venues will simply not permit them to set up and play; in the event of damage or an accident ,to do so could easily compromise their own liability insurance policies. More likely the venue would look to you to recover their costs.
PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
Musique Entertainments carries a £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance policy. At the time of booking you can request to see a copy of this document.
PORTABLE APPLIANCE TEST CERTIFICATES
All of the equipment used by Musique Entertainments conforms to the Electricity at Work act of 1989. In practical terms all of our equipment undergoes a series of annual tests to confirm it is safe to use and in compliance with the law.
